Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of hiltonheadmarineconstruction.com (the “Site”) collects, uses, and protects your information — through the Site’s forms and when you contact us by phone, text, or email. “We”, “us”, and “our” refer to that operator, which runs the Site as a marketing and lead-generation service for marine construction and dock repair. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Details you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, property address, and whatever you tell us about your project when you submit the quote form, or when you call, text, or email us.
- Contact-consent data. Submitting the quote form requires checking a box consenting to calls or texts about your request; we record that consent, its exact wording, and the time it was given, along with your submission.
- Which page you asked from. A quote submission also records the page of the Site you sent it from, and whether you used the page’s own form or the pop-up quote box, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch. That is about the page, not about you.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting and security provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — to deliver the Site and guard against abuse. The Site runs no analytics product, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking pixels.
How we use your information
- Respond to your enquiry, prepare and discuss a quote, schedule work, and follow up.
- Connect you with the independent licensed contractor suited to your project so they can contact you and quote the work.
- Call or text you about a quote request, as you consented to when you submitted the form.
- Keep records of quotes, consents, and communications.
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell it.
Calls and texts about your request
We do not run a text-message subscription program. Submitting the quote form requires checking a box — never pre-checked — that lets us phone or text the number you gave us about that request and the service you asked about. This consent is limited to your request, not marketing. If you would rather not give it, contact us by phone or email instead. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Your phone number and the fact that you consented to calls or texts are never sold, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with the service providers that help us handle your request — for example, the form and messaging services we use and, if your project moves forward, the contractor handling it — and only for that purpose. It is not shared for any other reason except where required by law.
How we share information
- The contractor for your project. We provide the information you submit to the marine contractor suited to your enquiry so they can contact you and quote the work.
- Service providers. Companies that host the Site, process form submissions, deliver email, and send text messages on our behalf, bound to use the data only to provide those services.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- A business transfer. If the Site or its operations are transferred to another owner, your information may transfer with them under this policy.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to unrelated third parties, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Cookies
The Site itself sets no cookies for advertising or tracking. Our hosting and security provider may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the Site available and guard against abuse. The Site uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the Site will still work.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, perform or document work, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Text-message consent records are kept for as long as you are opted in and for a reasonable period afterward as proof of consent.
Your choices and rights
- Stop text messages any time by replying STOP.
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Decline to provide information — though we may not be able to quote or schedule work without it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under state law — including, for California residents, rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what we collect, to request deletion, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email privacy@hiltonheadmarineconstruction.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is meant for adults arranging work on their property. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
